Antique Staurolite Cross

Measuring 1 1/4 x 13/16 inch (including bail), with a cap and bail fashioned in 9k yellow gold. This cross is a natural formation of staurolite, an iron-aluminum silicate.

This pendant comes with an original hand written note stating "Roanoke Fairy or Lucky Stones- Staurolite, an iron-aluminum silicate, found only in Virginia. Tears wept by The fairies when they heard of Christ's Crucifixion- A natural formation."
